FIELD MANUAL // SPOILER-SAFE
How to play Dutybound: Patrol
Build one officer at a time, make decisions from imperfect information, and let the record—not a single score—show what kind of career you created.
Your first watch
- Create an officer file. Choose a background, trait, dialogue style, and identity. Separate officer files keep their careers independent.
- Complete orientation. Academy work introduces skills and consumes in-world time and energy.
- Prepare the shift. Select a Greybridge district, assignment, and equipment that fit the watch.
- Work the call. Review dispatch reliability, known facts, risks, authority, and available alternatives before acting.
- File the report. Record chronology, evidence, legal basis, subject and officer actions, disposition, and what remains uncertain.
What persists
- Skills, rank, qualifications, and service record
- Relationships, promises, complaints, and wellness
- Cases, evidence, court outcomes, and report revisions
- District conditions, public trust, and career consequences
Useful controls
- Use Account Control to convert a guest career before seven days pass.
- Use Accessibility & Settings for reduced motion, contrast, text size, content intensity, and assistance options.
- Use Save Manager for manual snapshots and continuity tools.
